You can let it get distressed over time or clean it with a rubber nutrient (such as Armoural) and water to bring it back to new.
The rubber is not affected by water or weather.

Construction:
The bag is sewn on old saddle makers machines, using heavy duty silicone coated thread.
The corners are riveted for extra strength.
